In addition
to the Cuvée Prestige matured in Bourbon barrels, we let the Gulden Draak
Classic mature in Laphroaig barrels for 8 weeks. These come from the eponymous
Scottish whiskey distillery on the island of Islay. This single malt whiskey is
characterized by a very pronounced peat taste. It goes without saying that the
smoky, full character of this is also reflected in the taste of the Cuvée
Prestige and thus provides a quirky blend.
